UV inks
UV inks are specially formulated printing inks that dry and harden instantly when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light.
Unlike conventional inks, which dry mainly through evaporation or absorption into the printing material, UV inks contain components that react to UV energy and rapidly cure into a solid, durable ink film.
How UV Inks Work
The ink is applied to the printing surface.
It passes under a UV lamp or UV-LED curing system.
The UV light activates the ink’s photo initiators.
The ink cures almost instantly, forming a dry and durable printed surface.
CHESPA UV Inks, marketed under the QIUVI range, are high-performance inks developed for UV flexographic printing of labels and packaging. The inks cure rapidly when exposed to the appropriate UV or UV-LED curing system, helping printers achieve efficient production speeds, strong colour performance and high-quality printed results.
The QIUVI range is suitable for printing on a wide variety of substrates, including plastic films, paper, primer-coated metallized films and aluminium. The inks are characterized by high colour intensity, good gloss and excellent printability, making them suitable for demanding packaging and label applications.
CHESPA offers different QIUVI ink series to suit specific applications. QIUVIFOOD is designed as a low-migration, low-odour solution for food packaging applications, while QIUVIFLEX is a benzophenone-free series intended for labels and packaging applications other than food packaging. The range also includes UV-LED curing options for compatible printing systems.

Storage and Handling
Store in the original, tightly closed container in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and sources of UV radiation. Containers should be kept properly sealed when not in use to prevent contamination. Product-specific storage conditions, handling instructions and shelf life should always be confirmed from the relevant Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
Packaging
Packaging is available according to the specific CHESPA QIUVI ink product and customer requirements. Please contact Decase Chemicals Ltd. for available colours, pack sizes and technical specifications.
