Water-based inks
Water-based inks are specially formulated printing inks in which water acts as the primary carrier, helping to disperse and transfer the pigments and binding components onto the printing substrate. After printing, the water evaporates or is absorbed, leaving a coloured ink film on the surface.
The inks are designed for a range of printing applications and can be used on compatible substrates depending on the specific formulation. CHESPA water-based ink systems are suitable for packaging and printing applications where consistent colour, good printability and reliable adhesion are required.
Different formulations can be developed for specific substrates and printing processes, including flexographic and rotogravure printing.
Key Benefits
Water-based formulation
Excellent printability
Strong and consistent colour performance
Good adhesion to compatible substrates
Suitable for a variety of printing applications
Available for different substrates and printing requirements
Supports efficient and consistent printing processes
Applications
Depending on the specific ink formulation, water-based inks can be used for:
Paper and cardboard packaging
Corrugated board
Flexible packaging
Labels
Paper bags and sacks
Other compatible printing substrates
Storage and Handling
Store in the original, tightly closed container in a cool, dry and frost-free area. Protect the product from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Keep containers properly sealed when not in use to prevent contamination or evaporation.
Specific storage temperatures, shelf life and handling requirements may vary depending on the particular CHESPA ink formulation. Always refer to the relevant Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
Packaging
Available in different packaging sizes depending on the specific CHESPA water-based ink range and customer requirements.
