Solvent-based inks
Solvent-based inks are specially formulated printing inks in which the colourants and binding resins are carried in a solvent system. After printing, the solvents evaporate, leaving a coloured and durable ink layer on the substrate.
The CHESPA solvent-based ink range is designed for use in various printing applications, including flexible packaging, labels, films and other compatible materials. Depending on the specific ink series, they can be formulated for different printing processes and substrates, including flexographic and rotogravure printing.
These inks are selected according to the application, substrate and required performance characteristics to provide reliable adhesion, colour strength and print quality.
Key Benefits
Excellent printability
Strong and consistent colour performance
Good adhesion to compatible substrates
Suitable for a variety of packaging materials
Available for different printing processes
Suitable for flexographic and rotogravure printing applications
Designed for efficient drying through solvent evaporation
Applications
solvent-based inks can be used for printing on compatible:
Flexible packaging materials
Plastic films
Labels
Paper and paper-based materials
Laminated packaging structures
Other specialised packaging substrates
Storage and Handling
Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat, sparks, flames and other sources of ignition. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.
As solvent-based inks may contain flammable organic solvents, appropriate ventilation, personal protective equipment and safe handling procedures should always be followed. Refer to the relevant Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for specific storage conditions, handling instructions and shelf life.
Packaging
Available in various industrial packaging sizes depending on the specific CHESPA ink range and customer requirements.
